Dan was born in Minnesota. His family moved to Arizona when he was a toddler, summer art classes in elementary school were the beginning of Dan’s formal training to become an artist. Once in high school, he attended a technical trade school. This is where he first realized his title in life would be Graphic Artist.
Memphis College of Art awaited Dan's arrival and, while graphic design was his major, he found interest in 3D animation and video. Exhausting lower level courses, Dan met with and gained the permission of the Dean to attend graduate courses. A semester before he had earned his diploma he had landed a job at WREG-TV.
At the station, he gained valuable knowledge in working with video. Knowledge that later helped him develop a recognized graphics department within the US Postal Service. Being the sole designer, Dan with the aid of two colleagues began to turn heads with the quality of work being produced. Requested specifically by management to take on major meeting themes and animations only proves Dan is the graphics man. His diversity in software and media makes him a genuine asset to his employer.
